As mentioned on Friday when I rang to complain about my order, I said I would give you the opportunity to sort it out before I posted a poor review. The manager said he would call me back, he didn't. My Tripadvisor review; Ordered a takeaway last Friday (23/10); Samosa and Bhaji starters, followed by Chana, plain rice, Naan, Lamb dish and King Prawn Balti. Not cheap at over £40 but having had one previous sit-down meal there a year or so ago, I remembered the food and service was OK then. Boy, how wrong was I giving it another go. Rang the order in and was told 30 minutes, arrived at given time and waited another 20 minutes. Unpacking the food back home revealed two floppy pale Samosas and two cold soggy Bhajis that had soaked up and was saturated in oil (dripping through the paper bag). Lamb dish was overly sweet and the meat inedible, by that I mean you had to saw at the meat to cut it, rock hard. The prawn dish bland and tasteless. Plain rice was basmati (wife prefers long grain to basmati), Chana and naan were fine. I immediately rang the restaurant to complain and was passed over to the manager who promised to call back as they were very busy. That was three days ago and, although I didn’t for one minute believe he would, he hasn’t. I had picked up a bottle of wine at the Coop across the road before going to Indo and wished I’d bought a selection of Indian dishes there, genuinely would have been better.
